Welcome to Star Medal Ascent. By accessing or using our fantasy volleyball platform at starmedalascent.com (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before participating.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To use Star Medal Ascent, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Reside in a jurisdiction where fantasy sports contests are legal
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
• Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws

We reserve the right to verify your eligibility at any time and may request identification documents.

3. Account Registration and Security

Account Creation

You must create an account to participate in contests. During registration, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Create only one account per person
• Not share your account with others
• Not use another person's account

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• Ensure you log out from your account at the end of each session
• Accept responsibility for all activities conducted through your account

4. Fantasy Sports Contests

Contest Participation

By entering a contest, you agree to:

• Abide by the specific rules and scoring system for that contest
• Submit your lineup before the posted deadline
• Accept that lineups cannot be changed after the deadline
• Compete fairly without using automated systems or bots
• Not collude with other participants

Scoring and Results

Contest scores are calculated based on real-world player performance statistics. All scoring decisions are final, except in cases of obvious error or official stat corrections. We use only official statistics from recognized volleyball leagues and organizations.

Stat Corrections

If official statistics are corrected by the source league within 24 hours of match completion, we will update scores accordingly. Rankings and results may change based on these corrections.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The Platform and all its content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to information, software, text, displays, images, video, audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Star Medal Ascent and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Platform
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the Platform for any commercial purpose without written permission

6. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use bots, scripts, or automated systems to participate in contests
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Collect or harvest information about other users
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent rules or gain unfair advantage
• Engage in any form of cheating, collusion, or fraudulent activity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers

Violation of these conduct rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Platform Provided "As Is"

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

No Guarantee of Availability

We do not guarantee that the Platform will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. We may suspend or restrict access for maintenance, updates, or other reasons without prior notice.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STAR MEDAL ASCENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Third-Party Content

We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any player statistics, team information, or other third-party content displayed on the Platform.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Platform will immediately cease
• We may delete your account and all associated data
• Active contest entries will be handled according to contest-specific rules
• Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will remain in effect

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Platform. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.

11. Modifications to the Platform

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time, including contest formats, scoring rules, features, and availability, with or without notice.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration association.

Class Action Waiver

You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between you and Star Medal Ascent individually. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Star Medal Ascent, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Star Medal Ascent regarding the use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
